By Train: Off train, left at car park, down path to the Birnam Glen. Left again,  follow the path up the glen. Cottage 300 metres. Easy!

Opposite the hotel, next to the Beatrix Potter Garden, is the Birnam Glen single track road.   The track goes under the A9, under the railway line and   meanders up the glen parallel to the burn [stream].

There is a hairpin bend less than a hundred yards before the cottage. It is tight - but ok if you drive carefully.

In snow & ice! Careful! Even locals get stuck occasionally...
